Microsoft Ireland Customer Success for SalesSense and Storm

Microsoft Ireland Customer Success stories are widely acknowledged as examples of best practice, and the Microsoft Partner community works hard to elevate its case studies to this level of recognition. Each year in December Microsoft runs an Advent calendar over the 24 days from December 1st to Christmas Eve, featuring a different Customer Success story on each day. This year we are delighted and honoured that the SalesSense implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 through Storm Technology has been chosen as the first success story to be celebrated.
How did this recognition come about? Having built our competitive advantage through the development of SOS2 – “Sales Orientated Service / Service Orientated Sales” – we needed a CRM platform to help deliver our growth objectives while reflecting our commitment to the delivery of client excellence. We wanted to integrate both the SalesSense Operating Model and our ISO 9001 Quality Management Standards into a single CRM solution that would enable us to scale up the business while managing the full customer lifecycle.
Through the selection process it was clear that Storm understood the trajectory we are on, and that Dynamics 365 offered the most flexibility, both now and in the future. Its seamless integration with both SharePoint and Outlook was a big selling point, enabling us to build further on the workflows we had established through these applications. Storm was able to layer a solution over our existing business processes rather than introducing something new that would force our operating model to fit the technology.
A big part of the SalesSense way is how we work as a partner to our clients, so we appreciated the partnership approach that the Storm team took to the project. Dynamics 365 has changed a lot about the company in a short space of time. We now have greater visibility on all prospect communications from first contact, which helps drive future growth by moving each opportunity through the sales funnel faster. We can shine a light on cross sell and upsell opportunities, ensuring we allocate the right resources to deliver the greatest value to our customers.
